This FSEOG Grant is provided to eligible students enrolled in at least 9 units and with significant financial need. Students will automatically be considered for this grant if they have completed the FAFSA. To receive FSEOG, students must be eligible for the Federal Pell Grant.
Unlike Federal Pell Grants, FSEOG funding is extremely limited. Irvine Valley College receives a specified amount of FSEOG funds each academic year. Funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Currently, award amounts are $500 per semester, or $1,000 for Fall and Spring semesters and made available to as many students who qualify until funds are expended. Additional awarding takes place in mid-Fall and mid-Spring. All students awarded will be notified.
